The Hawaii Martial Arts International Society is one of the first organizations to bring together many grandmasters, legends and pioneers from various disciplines in the martial arts, with members throughout the United States and from around the world. As a member, you will be a part of our family helping the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society grow and carry out its goals and objectives internationally which is to promote unity by sharing knowledge, bringing together martial artists representing different styles with the common interest on preserving and perpetuating our roots and traditions for the cultural and educational purposes.

As a member, you will enjoy a host of benefits and privileges, which is only available to members of the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society. By joining the HMAIS, your membership is good for Two Years as long as you are in good standing, and you are helping the preservation and perpetuation of the martial arts history for the educational and cultural purposes for generations to come worldwide.

Friends of the Society

Open to anyone (non-martial artists-general public) demonstrating a keen interest in the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society and who wishes to support the efforts of the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society. A biennial membership fee will entitle the individual member to receive:

4. 10% discount on HMAIS merchandise and sanctioned events

Associate Membership

Open to all martial artists and members affiliated with the martial arts community. A biennial membership fee will entitle the individual member to receive:

1. Personalized membership card.
2. Personalized membership certificate.
3. Member lapel pin.
4. 10% discount on HMAIS merchandise and sanctioned events.
5. HMAIS patch.
6. Your martial arts biography and picture listed in our website.
7. Qualify for rank certification in your discipline.
8. An opportunity to work in the film industry.
9. In addition, a discounted video program will be offered, to tape your training or martial arts system, which the society can tape, edit, package, and add it to our society distribution program.
10. The Society Periodically offers carefully selected discounts, up to 75% to members only by email.
11. Newsletter.
12. Opportunity to network with other members worldwide.
13. Priority seating at the Hall of Fame Awards Banquet.
14. Specialized training programs.
15. More benefits to be added as they become available.
16. Lifetime member:  If you have been an biennial member for six consecutive years or more, you can take advantage of a special discounted rate to join for life.

School Charter Membership

Allows Charter Schools to offer Associate individual memberships to their students.

Charter Schools have the full support of The Society.  Special benefits will be added as they become available.  Your school and/or organization listed on our website. Your name and school listed in the HMAIS family tree.  Charter School benefits will be listed in your welcome package.

All fee’s must be payable in U.S. Funds Only.  You may mail in your fee or pay online.  All memberships are good for Two Years.

Friends of the Society:

     - Children 17 yrs & under: $25.00
     - Adult: $40.00

Associate Member:

     - Children 17 & under: $40.00
     - Adult: $75.00

School Charter:

     - Charter: $500.00 – 20 memberships

Applying for membership are subject to review by the Membership Committee and does not guarantee acceptance into the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society, hereinafter known as "The Society".

All new applicants are subject to a one year probation.

You must print out and submit this application with the required fee, along with your biography, current picture, current rank certificate, and a family tree of all black belt instructors under you (instructors only). You may send these documents (biography, picture, family tree) by email and via postal mail.

By submitting this form: I certify that the information listed is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I also give my permission to The Society to investigate my background. I also understand that by providing false or misleading information can and will result in my removal from consideration, now or thereafter, into the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society.

I understand that my membership into the Society also qualifies me to apply for certification, according to my discipline, by the standard board committee.

I understand that by, and in exchange for being a member and/or participant, participating in any and all Hawaii Martial Arts International Society event's, in sufficiency of which as consideration is hereby acknowledged by member and/or participant, I hereby grant to the Hawaii Martial Arts International Society, the unrestricted right to record, edit, and compile member's voice, likeness, performance and records, and to sell, distribute, or otherwise utilize the recording in any manner desired by said Society, and expressly waives any compensation therefore. I also understand that the Society reserves the right to refuse any participant or spectator.

I also agree that by submitting this form electronically, it carries the same legal weight as a paper document submitted with my authorized signature. I also understand if under the age of 18 years old, a parent or legal guardian's signature is required.
